Last year, Israel's medical apartheid prevented Palestinians from participating in the COP26, while global vaccine racism impeded the attendance of many other activists from the global south. This year, the location of the conference (Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt) poses a new barrier to meaningful participation by Palestinians and other environmental and human rights activists and grassroots groups.
Answering the call from the World Without Walls initiative to tear down walls of Climate Colonialism, we invite you to join us for a People’s Forum on Israeli apartheid and climate justice with speakers from five continents.
We are holding this conversation within the framework of diverse mobilizations against COP27 to highlight interconnected experiences confronting false solutions to climate change in Palestine and across Asia, Africa, North and South America and Europe. As representatives of communities impacted by intersecting environmental and human rights crises, our shared struggle is rooted in colonialism, militarism, capitalism, and other forms of injustice.

El año pasado, el apartheid médico de Israel impidió que les delegades palestines participaran en la COP26, mientras que el racismo mundial por las vacunas impidió la asistencia de muches otres activistas del sur global. Este año, la ubicación de la conferencia (Sharm el-Sheikh, Egipto) plantea una nueva barrera para la participación significativa de les palestines y otres activistas ambientales, de derechos humanos y grupos de base.
Respondiendo al llamado de la iniciativa Mundo Sin Muros para derribar los muros del colonialismo climático, les invitamos a unirse a nosotres en un Foro de los Pueblos sobre el apartheid israelí y la justicia climática con contribuciones de los cinco continentes.
Mantenemos esta conversación en el marco de diversas movilizaciones contra la COP27 para resaltar experiencias interconectadas que confrontan soluciones falsas al cambio climático en Palestina y en Asia, África, América del Norte y del Sur y Europa. Como representantes de comunidades afectadas por crisis ambientales y de derechos humanos que se entrecruzan, nuestra lucha compartida tiene sus raíces en el colonialismo, el militarismo, el capitalismo y otras formas de injusticia.
